Narrative:
While flying our route (OZARK2 departure from stl to hlv direct bqs BQS1 mci) I inadvertently mistook hlv for bqs, thus starting the BQS1 arrival. So instead of flying hlv direct bqs, I flew out the hlv 234 degree radial. Center noticed almost immediately and corrected our course.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: MLG CREW FLEW WRONG COURSE ON A STAR ARR RTE.
Narrative: WHILE FLYING OUR RTE (OZARK2 DEP FROM STL TO HLV DIRECT BQS BQS1 MCI) I INADVERTENTLY MISTOOK HLV FOR BQS, THUS STARTING THE BQS1 ARR. SO INSTEAD OF FLYING HLV DIRECT BQS, I FLEW OUT THE HLV 234 DEG RADIAL. CTR NOTICED ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AND CORRECTED OUR COURSE.
