Narrative:
The alpha numeric display at the departure/arrival east radar began arbitrarily fading in and out and in one instance completely disappeared. The safety and operational hazard associated with this are obvious and should not be tolerated.

Narrative: THE ALPHA NUMERIC DISPLAY AT THE DEP/ARR E RADAR BEGAN ARBITRARILY FADING IN AND OUT AND IN ONE INSTANCE COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED. THE SAFETY AND OPERATIONAL HAZARD ASSOCIATED WITH THIS ARE OBVIOUS AND SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED.
