Air Traffic Incident | Operational Error |
Narrative:
2 aircraft on converging rtes, faster aircraft in back. Rear aircraft overtook procedure aircraft. Conflict alert did not activate until loss of separation. Very busy departure sector with a mix of jet and propeller aircraft. Supervision did not provide assistance until after the incident. Lack of teamwork caused an overloaded radar controller to miss traffic. I was working 4 position, alone, during a busy departure push. The supervisor was sitting within 5 ft of me and did not offer assistance until it was too late. This situation occurs so often, it almost seems normal. We need help!

Title: ZFW CTLR INVOLVED IN OPERROR, CONCERNED WITH LACK OF SUPVR RESPONSE AND CTL SECTOR CONFIGN.
Narrative: 2 ACFT ON CONVERGING RTES, FASTER ACFT IN BACK. REAR ACFT OVERTOOK PROC ACFT. CONFLICT ALERT DID NOT ACTIVATE UNTIL LOSS OF SEPARATION. VERY BUSY DEP SECTOR WITH A MIX OF JET AND PROP ACFT. SUPERVISION DID NOT PROVIDE ASSISTANCE UNTIL AFTER THE INCIDENT. LACK OF TEAMWORK CAUSED AN OVERLOADED RADAR CTLR TO MISS TFC. I WAS WORKING 4 POS, ALONE, DURING A BUSY DEP PUSH. THE SUPVR WAS SITTING WITHIN 5 FT OF ME AND DID NOT OFFER ASSISTANCE UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE. THIS SIT OCCURS SO OFTEN, IT ALMOST SEEMS NORMAL. WE NEED HELP!
