Narrative:
While on lendy STAR to jfk we were to cross harty intersection at FL230. Due to tailwind of 100 KTS, we were unable to make restr. We were at about FL240 when crossing harty. I was making arrival PA announcement to passenger and did not realize we were going to be high. The captain apparently did not realize this either until too late. We advised controller just before crossing harty. There was no conflict and controller did not indicate this either. Both the captain and I should have been more aware of the effects of the tailwind and should have monitored the descent profile more closely.
