Narrative:
Gallup radar site losing tracked targets at FL310. Happened to me numerous times from oct/xa/98 through oct/xe/98. Gallup is a known problem. But it never seems to get fixed properly. Very unsafe situation. In the last few yrs we have had uncountable speed jumps and ghost targets. It's an every day occurrence.

Title: ARTCC RADAR CTLR CONCERN ABOUT RADAR SITE (GALLUP) TRACKING PROBS. CTLR OBSERVES GHOST TARGETS AND SPD JUMPS IN ACFT BEING TRACKED BY THIS RADAR SITE.
Narrative: GALLUP RADAR SITE LOSING TRACKED TARGETS AT FL310. HAPPENED TO ME NUMEROUS TIMES FROM OCT/XA/98 THROUGH OCT/XE/98. GALLUP IS A KNOWN PROB. BUT IT NEVER SEEMS TO GET FIXED PROPERLY. VERY UNSAFE SIT. IN THE LAST FEW YRS WE HAVE HAD UNCOUNTABLE SPD JUMPS AND GHOST TARGETS. IT'S AN EVERY DAY OCCURRENCE.
