Narrative:
Landed on runway 9R and tower said any right turn hold short of taxiway C. Tower then advised after I rolled past the taxiway before taxiway right that I needed to hurry to taxiway right because of learjet on short final. The reason for me to hold short of taxiway C was because of an opposite direction mooney taxiing on taxiway C by the taxiway before taxiway right, of which he had wanted me off on, which he didn't say. I forgot to hold short of taxiway C since the mooney was no factor at that point. Tower said he asked me to hold short and he was right, but there was no traffic to hold short for. This could have been avoided if I had not assumed since the mooney was gone I could just taxi on taxiway C, hold and call ground. I don't deny I forgot to hold short of taxiway C, but if I had, I would not have been completely clear of runway 9R in my opinion.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: PLT OF AN SMT TWIN FAILED TO STOP SHORT OF TXWY AFTER LEAVING RWY RESULTING IN TWR CTLR ADMONISHMENT.
Narrative: LANDED ON RWY 9R AND TWR SAID ANY R TURN HOLD SHORT OF TXWY C. TWR THEN ADVISED AFTER I ROLLED PAST THE TXWY BEFORE TXWY R THAT I NEEDED TO HURRY TO TXWY R BECAUSE OF LEARJET ON SHORT FINAL. THE REASON FOR ME TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY C WAS BECAUSE OF AN OPPOSITE DIRECTION MOONEY TAXIING ON TXWY C BY THE TXWY BEFORE TXWY R, OF WHICH HE HAD WANTED ME OFF ON, WHICH HE DIDN'T SAY. I FORGOT TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY C SINCE THE MOONEY WAS NO FACTOR AT THAT POINT. TWR SAID HE ASKED ME TO HOLD SHORT AND HE WAS RIGHT, BUT THERE WAS NO TFC TO HOLD SHORT FOR. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF I HAD NOT ASSUMED SINCE THE MOONEY WAS GONE I COULD JUST TAXI ON TXWY C, HOLD AND CALL GND. I DON'T DENY I FORGOT TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY C, BUT IF I HAD, I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY CLR OF RWY 9R IN MY OPINION.
