Narrative:
We were given a clearance to report 100 NM west of white horse VOR. I misread the clearance as 100 NM east and made the call at that point. I missed a mandatory reporting point as a result. If the controller had used 100 NM prior to white horse that would have been clrer.

Narrative: WE WERE GIVEN A CLRNC TO RPT 100 NM W OF WHITE HORSE VOR. I MISREAD THE CLRNC AS 100 NM E AND MADE THE CALL AT THAT POINT. I MISSED A MANDATORY RPTING POINT AS A RESULT. IF THE CTLR HAD USED 100 NM PRIOR TO WHITE HORSE THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN CLRER.
