Narrative:
On apr/xa/99, received a certified letter from FAA stating I performed work on a DC9-30 autoplt system, and that after a satisfactory check, the proper procedure for returning an aircraft for service was not followed as prescribed in air carrier maintenance procedures. After reviewing the maintenance procedures, my terminology on the corrective action signoff could/should have been better detailed.
