Narrative:

10 mins into boarding, I noticed the passenger in seat xx placing 2 large suitcases into the overhead bin widthwise. The luggage prohibited the overhead bin from closing. I went to the passenger and asked him to place 1 bag in the empty bin behind him and I would shift the other bag, so the bin would shut. He ignored me. A few mins later, flight attendant #1 asked him to do the same thing. I saw the passenger refuse and become angry. Flight attendant #1 attempted to keep the passenger calm, but when the situation became threatening, flight attendant #1 came back to me and asked me to get passenger service. I went out to gate area and had the agent call for the manager on duty. When the manager arrived, I explained that the passenger and his traveling companion were not complying with crew member instructions and were intimidating and threatening to us (far part 91.11). We asked to have them removed from the aircraft for that reason. Passenger service removed them from aircraft. Flight service mod came and we explained the situation. Captain (aircraft X) was informed of the problem and allowed us to handle the problem. Passenger and witness came up to me in front of the mod from flight service (manager) saying the passenger removed was rude and verbally abusive to us. In addition, passenger said we handled the problem professionally.

Title: FLT ATTENDANT RPT, B757, LAX-MIA, PAX REMOVED AFTER BOARDING DUE TO REFUSAL TO OBEY FARS, VERBALLY ABUSIVE.

Narrative: 10 MINS INTO BOARDING, I NOTICED THE PAX IN SEAT XX PLACING 2 LARGE SUITCASES INTO THE OVERHEAD BIN WIDTHWISE. THE LUGGAGE PROHIBITED THE OVERHEAD BIN FROM CLOSING. I WENT TO THE PAX AND ASKED HIM TO PLACE 1 BAG IN THE EMPTY BIN BEHIND HIM AND I WOULD SHIFT THE OTHER BAG, SO THE BIN WOULD SHUT. HE IGNORED ME. A FEW MINS LATER, FLT ATTENDANT #1 ASKED HIM TO DO THE SAME THING. I SAW THE PAX REFUSE AND BECOME ANGRY. FLT ATTENDANT #1 ATTEMPTED TO KEEP THE PAX CALM, BUT WHEN THE SIT BECAME THREATENING, FLT ATTENDANT #1 CAME BACK TO ME AND ASKED ME TO GET PAX SVC. I WENT OUT TO GATE AREA AND HAD THE AGENT CALL FOR THE MGR ON DUTY. WHEN THE MGR ARRIVED, I EXPLAINED THAT THE PAX AND HIS TRAVELING COMPANION WERE NOT COMPLYING WITH CREW MEMBER INSTRUCTIONS AND WERE INTIMIDATING AND THREATENING TO US (FAR PART 91.11). WE ASKED TO HAVE THEM REMOVED FROM THE ACFT FOR THAT REASON. PAX SVC REMOVED THEM FROM ACFT. FLT SVC MOD CAME AND WE EXPLAINED THE SIT. CAPT (ACFT X) WAS INFORMED OF THE PROB AND ALLOWED US TO HANDLE THE PROB. PAX AND WITNESS CAME UP TO ME IN FRONT OF THE MOD FROM FLT SVC (MGR) SAYING THE PAX REMOVED WAS RUDE AND VERBALLY ABUSIVE TO US. IN ADDITION, PAX SAID WE HANDLED THE PROB PROFESSIONALLY.
