Narrative:
We were getting ready to land in indianapolis (an unscheduled landing) because we were running out of fuel due to storms in the ord area (our scheduled landing city). We ran into turbulence. I was getting into the closest when it hit. I turned around to get to the jump seat and was thrown against the lavatory door. My hand flew back and I hit the #1 flight attendant above the eye with my ring. He could not work for the remainder of the flight. I was not hurt.
