Narrative:
I am writing this report in response to the events that took place on aug/xb/99. On the evening of aug/xa/99 I realized that my medical certificate had expired. I was under the assumption that my medical was valid until the end of aug/99. In reality my medical was only valid until the end of jul/99. Upon realizing this situation, I quickly made arrangements to get my medical as soon as possible. On the morning of aug/xb/99 I went to the closest medical examiner and promptly received a first class medical certificate. However, I unknowingly flew 2 days, aug/xc-xd/99 with an invalid medical certificate. I firmly believed my medical was valid until the end of aug/99. Upon realizing my mistake, I quickly did my best to rectify this situation. I regret to have made this mistake and I assure you that this will never happen again in the future.
