Narrative:
Issued taxi instructions to runway 28 by bwi ground. Company was told to hold short for us to move out. We continued taxi on taxiway east to taxiway D. Did not realize we had made a mistake until bwi said continued to runway 33L on taxiway D. We continued and departed runway 33L. Intersection is very confusing at the intersection of txwys east/P/D runway 28 and runway 33L. Txwys are partially obscured by construction as we come out of our area. This gives you a perspective of having to taxi in a different way.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A FLC CROSSED AN ACTIVE RWY WITHOUT CLRNC AT BWI.
Narrative: ISSUED TAXI INSTRUCTIONS TO RWY 28 BY BWI GND. COMPANY WAS TOLD TO HOLD SHORT FOR US TO MOVE OUT. WE CONTINUED TAXI ON TXWY E TO TXWY D. DID NOT REALIZE WE HAD MADE A MISTAKE UNTIL BWI SAID CONTINUED TO RWY 33L ON TXWY D. WE CONTINUED AND DEPARTED RWY 33L. INTXN IS VERY CONFUSING AT THE INTXN OF TXWYS E/P/D RWY 28 AND RWY 33L. TXWYS ARE PARTIALLY OBSCURED BY CONSTRUCTION AS WE COME OUT OF OUR AREA. THIS GIVES YOU A PERSPECTIVE OF HAVING TO TAXI IN A DIFFERENT WAY.
