Narrative:
As I was sitting in my jump seat at (I was flight attendant #4), a passenger next to me asked if I noticed that the engines sounded different. I only noticed a slight decline or lag in takeoff. I was then informed by flight attendant #2 we had a fire in our right engine and would be going back to bos. The captain came over the PA and explained the problem and told the flight attendants to prepare for landing. We did a safety compliance check and then returned to our jump seats. We landed safely and emergency personnel on the ground met our plane. After a few mins, we taxied in to our gate and all passenger and crew deplaned through the forward entry door. I did not see or smell any fire in or outside the cabin. As far as I know, there were no injuries in this occurrence. We were scheduled on a new flight to chicago about 1 1/2 hours later. This occurrence took place within about 1-2 mins after takeoff and we landed within about 5 mins after problem was detected.
