Narrative:

On dec/xa/99 at XA30, I was assigned to aircraft xyz which had an APU air pressure that was fluctuating. I called maintenance services to get the authority/authorized to placard the APU air bleed valve under 49-3A. I went to the APU compartment and removed the APU panel and checked that the valve was in the closed position. I found the valve in the closed position and removed the connector and tied back the connector. On dec/xb/99 when I returned to work, I found out that aircraft xyz had been diverted to detroit. I found out that the indicating connector was the wrong connector and the electromagnetic control connector should have been removed.
