Narrative:
While giving flight instruction, we had attained level flight, I decided to have a simulated engine out practice. The student showed the proper response and I allowed a recovery. Upon recovery, he applied power but the engine did not respond. I could hear it firing at low RPM, but full throttle would do nothing. We were too far to glide back to arlington, so I decided to land in a field. We tried to restart the engine several times, but nothing happened. We landed in a worked field and I walked away.
