Narrative:
All checklists were completed normally. In takeoff roll through 60 KTS, violent shimmy felt from nose gear. Aborted takeoff and returned to gate. Called maintenance and were told to perform 2 high speed runs without people aboard. Completed and not duplicated. Deferred according to company MEL. Loaded up and left. Problem: no aborted takeoff brake check completed per company fom.

Narrative: ALL CHKLISTS WERE COMPLETED NORMALLY. IN TKOF ROLL THROUGH 60 KTS, VIOLENT SHIMMY FELT FROM NOSE GEAR. ABORTED TKOF AND RETURNED TO GATE. CALLED MAINT AND WERE TOLD TO PERFORM 2 HIGH SPD RUNS WITHOUT PEOPLE ABOARD. COMPLETED AND NOT DUPLICATED. DEFERRED ACCORDING TO COMPANY MEL. LOADED UP AND LEFT.
