Narrative:
I was working as ground and local controller. I taxied 2 aircraft to a closed runway (runway 24). I was also working local control and cleared both for takeoff. They departed runway 24. There was a paint truck on approach end of runway 6. I did not see truck when I scanned the runway. All reminders were in place. Only suggestion would be is to clean up our (sia) status information area to highlight important closures.
