Narrative:
Cleared to runway 28R, taxi taxiway V5 to taxiway V to taxiway B to runway 28R. Normal taxi route is taxiway V5 to taxiway T to taxiway B. Txwys T and V are parallel txwys. Different routing to get us ahead of aircraft on taxiway T. We read back correct taxi instructions, taxi out and was concerned with weight and balance on ACARS. I passed left turn taxiway V and turned left on taxiway T, the normal taxi route. During turn, noticed error. Advised ground. They said to follow DC9 and they would taxi first. No conflict with other aircraft or traffic. Continued to runway as normal.
