Narrative:

While boarding our aircraft, we noticed a male and female, traveling together, that appeared to be intoxicated. There was a strong alcoholic odor and their walking ability was impaired. They were seated in the exit row in main cabin in xl/right. We advised the captain, and then, advised the agent that they needed to be removed. The agent reseated them in different seats. I advised them this was unacceptable, that the passenger had to be removed and rebooked on a much later flight. The passenger were removed without any further incident.
