Narrative:
On logbook inspection the FAA found that I did an annual 1300 hour inspection on jun/xa/00 (annual was not due till sep/00). I only signed it a&P, not a&P/ia. They say the annual was not really signed off. End of FAA letter -- nothing further except to respond to the letter. Now after this annual in july, I was out of town. On researching the logbooks on my own on jul/00 to nov/00, there was not another annual performed. Then I am saying that the annual in other words was valid to sep/xa/00 because the last annual was conducted or released for service sep/99, so my discovery and report is that the annual ran out oct/xa/00. In nov/00 the aircraft is not flying and is up for sale. This discovery of mine was not reported or mentioned in any FAA letter or conversation. The not putting of ia/a&P was a non intentional oversight.
