Narrative:
I landed at 2RR (river ranch resort) in widely scattered and patchy ground fog on a clear, sunny morning. Upon landing, I was told the airport was closed. The approach end of runway 16 was partially obscured by ground fog and I did not see the partial temporary 'X' covering the '6.' RVR was the length of the runway. The 'X' covering the '6' in runway 16 was incomplete though only 2 months old, no other markings were at the runway 16 end. The runway 34 end had large double xx closure markings, but I did not see these upon approach. No traffic was in the area. When told the airport was closed by the security officer present for the campground, I gave him my information and departed runway 34.

Title: A LOW TIME C152 PLT LANDS AND DEPARTS A CLOSED ARPT.
Narrative: I LANDED AT 2RR (RIVER RANCH RESORT) IN WIDELY SCATTERED AND PATCHY GND FOG ON A CLR, SUNNY MORNING. UPON LNDG, I WAS TOLD THE ARPT WAS CLOSED. THE APCH END OF RWY 16 WAS PARTIALLY OBSCURED BY GND FOG AND I DID NOT SEE THE PARTIAL TEMPORARY 'X' COVERING THE '6.' RVR WAS THE LENGTH OF THE RWY. THE 'X' COVERING THE '6' IN RWY 16 WAS INCOMPLETE THOUGH ONLY 2 MONTHS OLD, NO OTHER MARKINGS WERE AT THE RWY 16 END. THE RWY 34 END HAD LARGE DOUBLE XX CLOSURE MARKINGS, BUT I DID NOT SEE THESE UPON APCH. NO TFC WAS IN THE AREA. WHEN TOLD THE ARPT WAS CLOSED BY THE SECURITY OFFICER PRESENT FOR THE CAMPGROUND, I GAVE HIM MY INFO AND DEPARTED RWY 34.
