Narrative:
Autoplt deviated from horizontal and vertical profile on pdz 4 arrival to lax. Did not level at tejay. This could have been caused by sct approach assigning a runway that required an FMS mcdu change while on the arrival. Captain took over manually (autoplt off), returned to course (maximum of about .8 mi) and altitude (300 ft low for 5 seconds or less), then resumed the programmed arrival.
