Narrative:
After lengthy delay on ground at dfw, we were faced with less fuel for our alternate than planned. Our original alternate was panama for our flight to san jose, costa rica. We contacted dispatch asking for a change to mnmg (managua) for our alternate as it was closer to sjo, but were informed by dispatch that tower would be closed at XA00. Nowhere in our pubs does it give us that information. All our south american northbound flts and late sbounders have understood this to be a destination airport and suitable for diverts. The tower closing time should be published in our pubs pages or our divert airport information sheets.
