Narrative:
At approximately 500 ft MSL, after departure runway 14 sfo, we had indication of smoke on main cargo deck. An acrid smell filled the cockpit. Oxygen masks and smoke goggles were donned. First officer, at my direction, declared emergency and requested immediate vectors for approach to runway 28R sfo. So noted several faults on pneumatic panel, including regulator fault, high temperature and high pressure bleed fault on left air conditioning pack. So shut down left pack and ran emergency checklist to extent possible. After pack was secured, all smoke indications ceased, odor in cockpit dissipated. Normal landing was made on runway 28R sfo. Total time airborne was 11 mins.
