Narrative:
While en route from isp to 1b1 at 4500 ft, noticed volt and battery gauge showing no charge and alternator showing no charge. I turned off all electrical load, checked circuit breakers, and recycled master. When I was on downwind I lowered the gear and felt it come down. It seemed like it locked -- I couldn't tell (no lights). I pushed the emergency extend switch twice. I rocked the wings and landed. On rollout, the right main collapsed. I raised the flaps and leaned out the mixture and killed the ignition and master. A mechanic found a field wire broken on the alternator. I would like to see if there is any way to have a mechanical indication that the gear is locked.
