Narrative:
Approximately 10 mins prior to scheduled pushback, the aircraft final paperwork (awabs, pre departure clearance, fuel) was received and checklists were not done. Since the first class lav was occupied earlier, I told the captain I'd be right back, after I had a chance to go to the lav. Still 5 mins prior to scheduled push, I felt the aircraft start pushing back. I re-entered the cockpit, completed the before start and push back start checklist after the aircraft was already on the active taxiway. The captain had entered the final performance numbers and commenced the push without me in the seat and the cockpit door open. Early is early. I hate being rushed. Especially when we could have done everything the right way and still pushed exactly on-time. Patience is a virtue!
