Narrative:
Removal of passenger. The agent in hnl came on the airplane and told us that a passenger had been very abusive at the security check point and again when he was selected as a candidate for a random check. I asked the captain if it was ok to go back and have a look at this person. His ok was given. While I was in the back, I observed this person talking to some other people, and he was still very upset. I also smelled a very strong scent of alcohol. I did not talk to this person. When I returned to the cockpit, I told the captain that I thought this person should be removed because I thought he might be trouble during the flight. The captain told the agent to remove him from the flight. I would have felt better if the captain would have been more involved in this. He should have at least looked into this himself -- at least a little bit.
