Narrative:

The copilot and myself were called out on reserve to cover a cincinnati based trip to aruba. The latin american flying is done by the cincinnati based pilots. Since we were atlanta based, we are not issued commercial plates for the aruba airport. We discovered the problem heading south abeam orland. At that time we contacted flight control to relay the situation and to request as much information as possible about aruba via ACARS. I was comfortable in continuing the flight for the following reasons: 1) I had been there before and was familiar with the airport layout. 2) we had necessary approachs in the FMS database. 3) the WX was excellent. 4) we received all the necessary frequencys and approach minimums via ACARS.
