Narrative:

I was part of a group of 6 T28's enroute from carson city, nv, to driggs, identification. I was about 25 mi north of falon, nv, when I noticed that I had an engine warning light. The lead aircraft informed me that falon airport was 25 mi to the south and gave me a unicom frequency. I was unaware that there were 2 airports. I was talking to falon municipal airport when I landed at falon NAS. I did have GPS, but not realizing that there were 2 airports, after I spotted the runway, I did not look at the GPS again. Falon NAS is about 10 mi south of the municipal airport. I flew right over the municipal airport without seeing it. Having a red engine warning light lit does mess up one's thinking. My wingman stayed with me and also landed at falon NAS.

Narrative: I WAS PART OF A GROUP OF 6 T28'S ENROUTE FROM CARSON CITY, NV, TO DRIGGS, ID. I WAS ABOUT 25 MI N OF FALON, NV, WHEN I NOTICED THAT I HAD AN ENG WARNING LIGHT. THE LEAD ACFT INFORMED ME THAT FALON ARPT WAS 25 MI TO THE S AND GAVE ME A UNICOM FREQ. I WAS UNAWARE THAT THERE WERE 2 ARPTS. I WAS TALKING TO FALON MUNICIPAL ARPT WHEN I LANDED AT FALON NAS. I DID HAVE GPS, BUT NOT REALIZING THAT THERE WERE 2 ARPTS, AFTER I SPOTTED THE RWY, I DID NOT LOOK AT THE GPS AGAIN. FALON NAS IS ABOUT 10 MI S OF THE MUNICIPAL ARPT. I FLEW RIGHT OVER THE MUNICIPAL ARPT WITHOUT SEEING IT. HAVING A RED ENG WARNING LIGHT LIT DOES MESS UP ONE'S THINKING. MY WINGMAN STAYED WITH ME AND ALSO LANDED AT FALON NAS.
