Narrative:
Beginning descent to 7d2, I saw a light twin pass in front and slightly below. Other airplane appeared to be approaching ptk. I may have been difficult to see due to the sun. I was slightly distraction by new airplane (8 hours in type). Under the circumstances, it would be impossible to monitor ptk tower, 7d2 CTAF and 121.5 as required. Might not have helped anyway (was well outside ptk airspace). Solution: more careful lookout, low-cost TCASII.
