Narrative:
Airworthiness directive 2001-01-29 requires repetitive inspection of hpc 12TH stage disc assembly between 1800 and 2200 cycles since last inspection or no more than 18 months since last inspection. Repetitive inspection card XXXX (section 5) was set to be scheduled every 2000 cycles. As a result several engines were 'pre-paid' and inspected as many as 200 cycles early. Since that was not in the window, the engines had essentially overflown when the error was discovered.
