Narrative:
Captain called and told us to stow galley items and get to jump seats immediately, as ATC said strong turbulence was imminent. I made a cabin PA to tell other flight attendants to get to their jump seats immediately, and for our passenger to doublechk their belts. Not time to do cabin checks as turbulence began. Captain reported turbulence as severe to ATC. No one was hurt.
