Narrative:

B757 aircraft. We were cruising at 37000 ft, the captain had turned on the seat belt sign, because of a few bumps. Flight attendants had done safety checks. Flight attendants #2, #3 and #4 were in back of plane fixing to get ready to do beverage service, when the severe stuff hit. It was like a bad roller coaster ride, the plane was all over the sky. No clouds or thunderstorms in sight. No one could have walked during it. It lasted about 3 mins. Flight attendants took seats at back of plane and belted in. I had to hold on to seat back in front of me to keep still. None of the crew and no passenger were hurt. We had a man in the aft lavatory when it hit. He came out and we instructed him to take first available seat and buckle in. The captain and first officer saved the crew and passenger from injury by turning on seat belt sign early. If the seat belt sign had not been on and the crew and passenger were up and about, there definitely would have been injuries.
