Narrative:
On 04/wed/03 about XA45 EDT, I departed on a flight from vay to 39N. Upon landing at 39N airport, I was told that I needed to call customs because I had allegedly encroached the ny ADIZ. 39N airport is within 1 mile of the inside of the ADIZ ring. I immediately contacted mr X at customs and also ny TRACON and gave them the information they requested. Before the flight, I had checked the NOTAM that was labeled ny ADIZ. The wording of the NOTAM seemed a bit ambiguous in that it was labeled ny ADIZ NOTAM, but actually includes newark as well. I felt that the NOTAM was fairly confusing to interpret. Not less than 24 hours after this happened, the ny ADIZ was cancelled. Although I encroached the airspace, it was not intentional and was a mistake that I tried to rectify immediately.

Title: AIRSPACE INCURSION WHEN A C182 COMMERCIAL PLT ENTERS THE NY ADIZ AT 2000 FT 13 NM NW OF RBV, NJ.
Narrative: ON 04/WED/03 ABOUT XA45 EDT, I DEPARTED ON A FLT FROM VAY TO 39N. UPON LNDG AT 39N ARPT, I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO CALL CUSTOMS BECAUSE I HAD ALLEGEDLY ENCROACHED THE NY ADIZ. 39N ARPT IS WITHIN 1 MILE OF THE INSIDE OF THE ADIZ RING. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED MR X AT CUSTOMS AND ALSO NY TRACON AND GAVE THEM THE INFO THEY REQUESTED. BEFORE THE FLT, I HAD CHKED THE NOTAM THAT WAS LABELED NY ADIZ. THE WORDING OF THE NOTAM SEEMED A BIT AMBIGUOUS IN THAT IT WAS LABELED NY ADIZ NOTAM, BUT ACTUALLY INCLUDES NEWARK AS WELL. I FELT THAT THE NOTAM WAS FAIRLY CONFUSING TO INTERPRET. NOT LESS THAN 24 HRS AFTER THIS HAPPENED, THE NY ADIZ WAS CANCELLED. ALTHOUGH I ENCROACHED THE AIRSPACE, IT WAS NOT INTENTIONAL AND WAS A MISTAKE THAT I TRIED TO RECTIFY IMMEDIATELY.
