Narrative:
We were cleared for takeoff on runway 27. After acknowledging takeoff clearance, tower subsequently rescinded the takeoff clearance and told us to hold short of runway 33. This occurred during takeoff roll at approximately 60 KIAS, resulting in a rejected takeoff at approximately 80 KIAS and the aircraft stopping short of runway 33. Landing traffic on runway 33 was sent around by tower during this tower initiated rejected takeoff. After our brakes were sufficiently cooled, flight taxied to the end of runway 27 and made an uneventful departure to dallas, tx.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: B737 DEP FROM BOS IS ISSUED ATC ABORT BECAUSE OF LNDG TFC ON INTERSECTING RWY. LNDG ACFT ISSUED GAR.
Narrative: WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF ON RWY 27. AFTER ACKNOWLEDGING TKOF CLRNC, TWR SUBSEQUENTLY RESCINDED THE TKOF CLRNC AND TOLD US TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 33. THIS OCCURRED DURING TKOF ROLL AT APPROX 60 KIAS, RESULTING IN A REJECTED TKOF AT APPROX 80 KIAS AND THE ACFT STOPPING SHORT OF RWY 33. LNDG TFC ON RWY 33 WAS SENT AROUND BY TWR DURING THIS TWR INITIATED REJECTED TKOF. AFTER OUR BRAKES WERE SUFFICIENTLY COOLED, FLT TAXIED TO THE END OF RWY 27 AND MADE AN UNEVENTFUL DEP TO DALLAS, TX.
