Narrative:
Asked to angle from spot X to taxiway north for departure from runway 30R. ATC issued, 'continue hold short south.' began taxi but stopped aircraft to clarify clearance as no specific clearance to cross runway 30L had been issued. Aircraft was 20-30 ft beyond hold short line. Aircraft in takeoff position on runway 30L had to taxi clear of runway 30L to allow arrival of aircraft on 2 mi final.

Narrative: ASKED TO ANGLE FROM SPOT X TO TXWY N FOR DEP FROM RWY 30R. ATC ISSUED, 'CONTINUE HOLD SHORT S.' BEGAN TAXI BUT STOPPED ACFT TO CLARIFY CLRNC AS NO SPECIFIC CLRNC TO CROSS RWY 30L HAD BEEN ISSUED. ACFT WAS 20-30 FT BEYOND HOLD SHORT LINE. ACFT IN TKOF POS ON RWY 30L HAD TO TAXI CLR OF RWY 30L TO ALLOW ARR OF ACFT ON 2 MI FINAL.
