Narrative:
I was landing at lzu on jun/tue/03 about XA00 on the active runway 25. I hit 2 threshold lights. The approach was normal, gear down, 2ND notch of flaps and speed between 80 and 85 mph. Just before touchdown I experienced a downdraft or shear. I felt I might have clipped a light but wasn't sure until the tower suggested I check the safety of the gear. There was no damage to the gear. Several things contributed to my bad landing. 1) I should have gone around when things were not right on short final. 2) I should have recognized the windshear and responded by going around or immediately adding power. 3) the tanks had just been filled with all they could hold and the day was the first really hot and muggy day of the year. I should have recognized the affect these would have on performance in the landing mode. 4) if my intended touchdown point had been further down the runway these adverse conditions would have been more manageable.
