Narrative:
With the #1 autoplt on and 'navigation' engaged, while flying the wyldd two departure the aircraft turned 'short' of idale (which it always does). Idale is a flyby waypoint. The departure controller then informed us we had turned 'early' off idale and we were outside the parameters of the departure procedure. We informed her that is the way airbus flies the departure procedure and that is the way the aircraft was certified and the way we are required to fly it.
