Narrative:
Before takeoff, I confirmed door 1L and door 1R were armed. During climb, #1 flight attendant stated over PA that every one, including crew, were to stay in their seats. I was told by flight attendant #5 that door 1R was opening. We turned around to puj and landed. When we landed, I went to 1R and saw the door was armed and that the door handle had risen 6 inches. They tried to close the door and it would not go. Flight attendant #1 then disarmed the door and then closed it. Then the captain opened the door without incident. The door was now operating fine. We were told that a test would be done to see if we could re-create the incident. The cabin was pressurized, with all of the doors in armed mode. Everything was fine. We took off with no further occurrences.
