Narrative:
After landing at cle on runway 6L, we exited on runway 10/28, we were cleared to cross runway 6C hold short of runway 6R. The captain was a little confused about which hold short line to hold short of (we should have held short of the first line). By the time I told him to stop, we crossed the hold short line. The tower continued to clear people to take off on runway 6R with us in that position. There is another short line that is for the opposite direction and that is what the captain thought he was looking for. The markings are clear enough, but it is a little confusing to hold short of the first line with the second line in front of you. Based off of our conversation, he was confused because most of the time you hold short of the last line prior to the runway. We talked about the markings of the hold short lines. We both learned to read the hold short lines more carefully. The only question I have is why is that the hold short line when we crossed it and they still let people use that runway.
