Narrative:
Aircraft X has damage on r-hand nose, aft of radome. My inspection was based on the damage being in the aerodynamic smoothness area -- not the extra critical area. Also my measurements of the depth were within limits 1/8 inch.

Title: A B737-800 WITH NOSE SKIN DAMAGE WAS FOUND OK FOR SVC BY AN INSPECTOR USING DAMAGE LIMITS IN THE AERODYNAMIC SMOOTHNESS AREA IN THE STRUCTURAL REPAIR MANUAL.
Narrative: ACFT X HAS DAMAGE ON R-HAND NOSE, AFT OF RADOME. MY INSPECTION WAS BASED ON THE DAMAGE BEING IN THE AERODYNAMIC SMOOTHNESS AREA -- NOT THE EXTRA CRITICAL AREA. ALSO MY MEASUREMENTS OF THE DEPTH WERE WITHIN LIMITS 1/8 INCH.
