Narrative:
On taxi out and #1 for takeoff, aircraft behind us told us left outboard main tire appeared low. Advised tower that we would return to gate. Clearance was given to taxi west on runway 26L. Approximately 1/2 down runway, both tires became flat disabling aircraft and shutting down runway 26L for departures. Tire had a write-up for worn tread. Procedures allowed 10 more lndgs. Aircraft was near gross takeoff weight. Perhaps 10 more lndgs is too many and should be looked at. The landing at ZZZ (destination) would have been landing #8.
