Narrative:
We were cleared onto the runway to hold, waiting for takeoff clearance, and advised there was traffic on a 6 NM final. We both got concerned about the long wait for takeoff and the inbound traffic. I was ready to press the microphone button to remind the tower that we were holding when a different voice told crj to go around, which they did. When we saw them out the front window, they were on centerline and about 75 ft AGL. The controller said he had made a mistake and was sorry.
