Narrative:
Pushback from gate normal and taxi to runway 1R. Pushback at xa:01. Received final weights on ACARS at xa:08; takeoff roll commenced at xa:11; at a point between 80 KTS and V1; received ACARS message informing me to delay takeoff from load planning. Airborne time was xa:12. Load planning sent another message at xa:15 informing me that ramp forgot about 2480 pounds of cargo. Revised final weights were received via ACARS at xa:18. We had used maximum power for takeoff and 220.0 card. Actual weight was 221.2. No problems were encountered on takeoff. This could have had serious ramifications. This is a result of centralized loan planning. Also flight plan was based on 221.5; so new flight plan was required. Supplemental information from acn 657626: although revised weights was within runway performance limit and also within tolerance for flight plan; this could have had significant ramifications. This highlights a problem with company ramp attention to detail in releasing final cargo numbers.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: B757-200 DEPARTS SFO WITH INCORRECT FINAL WT MANIFEST DATA. CALLED BY COMPANY DURING TKOF ROLL WITH REVISION.
Narrative: PUSHBACK FROM GATE NORMAL AND TAXI TO RWY 1R. PUSHBACK AT XA:01. RECEIVED FINAL WTS ON ACARS AT XA:08; TKOF ROLL COMMENCED AT XA:11; AT A POINT BETWEEN 80 KTS AND V1; RECEIVED ACARS MESSAGE INFORMING ME TO DELAY TKOF FROM LOAD PLANNING. AIRBORNE TIME WAS XA:12. LOAD PLANNING SENT ANOTHER MESSAGE AT XA:15 INFORMING ME THAT RAMP FORGOT ABOUT 2480 LBS OF CARGO. REVISED FINAL WTS WERE RECEIVED VIA ACARS AT XA:18. WE HAD USED MAX POWER FOR TKOF AND 220.0 CARD. ACTUAL WT WAS 221.2. NO PROBS WERE ENCOUNTERED ON TKOF. THIS COULD HAVE HAD SERIOUS RAMIFICATIONS. THIS IS A RESULT OF CENTRALIZED LOAN PLANNING. ALSO FLT PLAN WAS BASED ON 221.5; SO NEW FLT PLAN WAS REQUIRED. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 657626: ALTHOUGH REVISED WTS WAS WITHIN RWY PERFORMANCE LIMIT AND ALSO WITHIN TOLERANCE FOR FLT PLAN; THIS COULD HAVE HAD SIGNIFICANT RAMIFICATIONS. THIS HIGHLIGHTS A PROB WITH COMPANY RAMP ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN RELEASING FINAL CARGO NUMBERS.
