Narrative:
I was flying the teb 5 departure to the west; with the autoplt off. I had the sun in my eyes. I missed my leveloff at 7000 ft; overshot by 280 ft. Looking back; I should have had the autoplt on so I could have properly managed the aircraft.

Title: CHALLENGER 604 PLT OVERSHOOTS CLRED ALT AFTER DEP FROM TEB.
Narrative: I WAS FLYING THE TEB 5 DEP TO THE W; WITH THE AUTOPLT OFF. I HAD THE SUN IN MY EYES. I MISSED MY LEVELOFF AT 7000 FT; OVERSHOT BY 280 FT. LOOKING BACK; I SHOULD HAVE HAD THE AUTOPLT ON SO I COULD HAVE PROPERLY MANAGED THE ACFT.
