Narrative:
Mechanic called requesting MEL 28-4 (wing tank electric fuel booster pump operating indications). There was no mention of a crew write-up. I asked if it was confirmed that it was an indication and not an actual boost pump; which would require MEL 28-3 to be issued and the reply was 'yes.' then I asked if the maintenance procedures had been performed as per MEL 28-4; and the reply was 'yes.' I continued with the issuance of the MEL. I failed to type in 'indication' in my information line. It read 'left wing pump 'a' inoperative;' and it was meant to read 'left wing pump 'a' indication inoperative.'
