Narrative:

The facility has forced us to use a 30 degree intercept to have airplanes follow another aircraft for a straight in visual approach. It appears that this 'order' is an absolute. This is a disaster waiting to happen. We have received no training on this procedure. Our procedures do not allow this to happen; our aarte rate is too high to conduct this type of operation. We are restricted runway operations because of construction and there is no out.
