Narrative:
On initial climb out from slc as we passed 10000 ft; we accelerated the aircraft to approximately 300 KTS. Departure cleared us normal speed when passing 13000 ft and I queried them as we had not received a speed restr. They stated there is a 100% restr on the pre departure clearance for all jet departures of 250 KTS till advised. We had missed the restr which was on our pre departure clearance. We had reviewed the departure procedure which does not contain the restr. We became distraction by the extensive rerte on the pre departure clearance and did not catch the speed restr at the bottom.
