Narrative:
Addressing inbound pilot report. I looked up communication panel in the ipc using filters; and effectivity for aircraft. Part number XXX showed the add to cart button from the ipc for this aircraft. Note at bottom of ipc was missed referring to engineering authority/authorized change XXX deleting original part number. Installed part in aircraft and checked in accordance with maintenance manual. Part showed that it was effective for aircraft except for note in the bottom of the right column stating that the part number had been deleted by engineering authority/authorized XXX.

Title: A B757-200 WAS DISPATCHED WITH THE INCORRECT FO'S COM PANEL INSTALLED. CAUSED BY IPC NOT BEING UPDATED WITH REVISED ENGINEERING AUTH THAT CHANGED PANELS.
Narrative: ADDRESSING INBOUND PLT RPT. I LOOKED UP COM PANEL IN THE IPC USING FILTERS; AND EFFECTIVITY FOR ACFT. PART NUMBER XXX SHOWED THE ADD TO CART BUTTON FROM THE IPC FOR THIS ACFT. NOTE AT BOTTOM OF IPC WAS MISSED REFERRING TO ENGINEERING AUTH CHANGE XXX DELETING ORIGINAL PART NUMBER. INSTALLED PART IN ACFT AND CHKED IN ACCORDANCE WITH MAINT MANUAL. PART SHOWED THAT IT WAS EFFECTIVE FOR ACFT EXCEPT FOR NOTE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE R COLUMN STATING THAT THE PART NUMBER HAD BEEN DELETED BY ENGINEERING AUTH XXX.
