Narrative:
Air carrier X departed slc on an IFR flight plan and entered the lake sector without a handoff or coordination being completed. The aircraft departed with the wrong beacon code in its transponder and the data tag did not automatic-acquire. Air carrier X entered lake's airspace prior to the data tag acquiring and then a verbal handoff was accomplished. No loss of separation with another aircraft occurred.

Title: S56 CTLR EXPERIENCED OPDEV WHEN DEP ENTERED ADJACENT SECTOR WITHOUT HDOF OR COORD BEING COMPLETED.
Narrative: ACR X DEPARTED SLC ON AN IFR FLT PLAN AND ENTERED THE LAKE SECTOR WITHOUT A HDOF OR COORD BEING COMPLETED. THE ACFT DEPARTED WITH THE WRONG BEACON CODE IN ITS XPONDER AND THE DATA TAG DID NOT AUTO-ACQUIRE. ACR X ENTERED LAKE'S AIRSPACE PRIOR TO THE DATA TAG ACQUIRING AND THEN A VERBAL HDOF WAS ACCOMPLISHED. NO LOSS OF SEPARATION WITH ANOTHER ACFT OCCURRED.
